Spacesuit are Special Pieces of Clothing Worn by Astronauts during their Missions in Space
Spacesuits aid astronauts in a
variety of ways. The suits keep astronauts from becoming excessively overheated
or freezing. Spacesuits also provide astronauts with air to breathe while
working in space. The suits contain water for drinking. They also protect
astronauts from space dust. Space dust may not appear to be a particularly
hazardous substance. However, dust can cause injury if it moves faster than a
bullet. The costumes even have gold-lined visors to protect the eyes from
direct sunshine.
A spacesuit is made up of numerous components. One section protects the astronaut's chest.
Another section covers the arms and attaches to the gloves. The helmet shields
the head. The final section focuses on the astronaut's legs and feet. Some
components of the outfit have multiple layers of material. Each layer performs
a distinct function. Others protect astronauts from space dust while others
preserve oxygen in the suit. Astronauts use additional clothing below their
suits. Except for the head, hands, and feet, it covers their entire body. It is
weaved with tubes. To keep the astronaut cool, water runs through the tubes.

a unique way to protect astronauts from the hazardous conditions found in
space. Extravehicular Mobility Units are another name for these spacesuits

space travel in the 1950s, the first spacesuits were developed.
